From Codera, you reach the Brasca Hut at Coeder (1,304 m).
Once at the Brasca Hut, the third section of this hike begins, featuring a 600 m elevation gain concentrated over 2 km. Maps show two possible trails, with the one on the left (hydrographic) side marked as more frequently used. In reality, the signposted route follows the trail on the right (hydrographic) side, which is more direct and involves crossing only three streams instead of eight—an important detail to consider after heavy rainfall.
You then leave the dirt road and continue uphill along a path. The route includes three very steep rocky steps with several waterfalls, separated by two flatter sections. However, the trail presents no particular technical difficulties; only the crossing of the first stream (at حوالي 1,500 m) can be challenging if swollen by rain. The ascent continues through a larch forest up to the second plateau, then crosses a short scree section, climbs the final rocky step, and reaches the Valli bivouac.
From here, you can admire the large moraine of the Arnasca glacier—still present but now greatly reduced—as well as the vertical walls of Pizzo Ligoncio and Punta della Sfinge, and the peaks of Pizzo dell’Oro Meridionale and Centrale.
