About Us
As an association, we are involved in various activities aimed at keeping the valley as vibrant and authentic as possible.
All activities are carried out with the support of volunteers, who devote their time and energy to preserving ancient traditions. The Association also organizes work stays in collaboration with SCI (International Civil Service) and WWOOF, welcoming visitors from all over the world to Codera.
HOW DOES THE ASSOCIATION OPERATE?
1.
We manage the Albergo Diffuso, which allows visitors to stay in historic granite houses.
2.
We organize activities promoting slow and sustainable tourism and manage the Valley’s Ethnographic Museum.
3.
We grow vegetables, potatoes, corn, and “Codera” beans using organic methods through what we like to call “heroic” farming.
4.
We restore abandoned farmland and mow the meadows to prevent the forest from encroaching and the landscape from falling into disrepair.
